Romans 8:14
KJV For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
NLT For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
John 14:17 Even the spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not neither knoweth him; but ye know Him, for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you.
Greek: "Know" (strongs and thayers) means aware, behold, perceive, gaze at something with wide open eyes, more than simple observation, to discern clearly, behold, take heed.
---the word of God says you will know Him, release your faith, confess with your mouth, that you know him.
Galations 3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by works of the law or by hearing of faith? Confess "I know him!"
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
- we are the sons of God
- we are led by the Spirit of God
- we know him
- we believe that God is the rewarder of them that diligently seek him
Knowing these things, release your faith!
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom.
- believe Him
- study and meditate the word
- let it dwell in you
How do we know the difference between our mind and our spirit?
The Holy Spirit will teach you, guide you, show it unto you, ask him. John 16:13-15 The amplified says he will declare, disclose, transmit.
Psalms 18:28 "For thou wilt light my candle, the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness." Spirit is the candle of the Lord. Proverbs 20:27 The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord. 1) inward witness (seer, know---Book of Acts)
Romans 9:1 "My conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost." Romans 9:1 Your spirit has a voice and will speak to you 2) inward voice
2 Corinthians 5:17 We are new creatures. Is our conscience a safe guide? If your spirit has become a new man in Christ, you conscience is the voice of your spirit.
- Feelings are the voice of the body
- Reason is the voice of the soul or mind
- Conscience is the voice of the spirit p.72 K.E. Hagin, Led by the Holy Spirit
Remembrance:
Holy Spirit will teach you, shall bring all things to remembrance, a verse at the right time.
Acts 10:19 3) While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him...voice of the Holy Spirit
More authoritative than the quieter voice.
Remember: Judge by the word 1 Thess. 5:21 Test everything and hold onto the word. The Spirit of God agrees with the word of God.
1 Corinthians 14:10-11 Many voices, many distractions, examine everything in the light of the word of God.
