We have a covenant with God as his children. It provides for healing in our bodies!
Defenition of a covenant: A covenant is a bond or commitment, a binding agreement. A covenant always has at least two parts. God is committed to His part, you must commit to yours.
A covenant with God is everlasting!
Jehovah - the self existent one.
Rapha - the Lord that heals (to mend or restore to normal, make whole) me
Scripture refrences on our healing covenant:
Ex. 23:25 (he will take sickness out of the midst of you)
Ps. 105:37 (there was not one sick or feeble among their tribes) When God brought the nation of Israel out of Egypt, there was not one sick person! In the whole nation!
Deut. 7:9 (He is the faithful God, who keeps covenant...to a thousand generations)When you serve God you give Him a legal right to do things for Your descendants.
Heb. 8:6 (He Jesus has aquired a ministry which is...much more excellent than the old covenant ) it has everything the old covenant had plus:
- Our name is in the lamb's book of life!
- We have the authority of Jesus name! Mark 16:17
- We have the Holy Ghost! John 14:16
- By His stripes, you were healed! 1Peter 2:24
The Names of God
Who is our God?
1. Jehovah Rapha- The self existent one who restores you to normal . Ex. 15:23 and 1 Peter 2:24
2. Jehovah Jirah- The self existent one who sees ahead and supplies and provides for your needs. Gen. 22:14 and Phil. 4:19
3. Jehovah Nissi- The Lord our banner of victory and triumph! Ex. 7:15 and 1 Cor.15:57
4. Jehovah Kadesh- The Lord who makes you clean, sanctified and holy. Ex. 31:13 and Heb. 10:10
5. Jehovah Shalom- The Lord who is our peace! Judges 6:24 and John 14:27
6. Jehovah shammah- The Lord is present!
